Terms of Service

The ground rules for using the South Kensington Nightlife Guide — what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you.

Last updated: 14 February 2025

Welcome to the South Kensington Nightlife Guide, part of Dolce London. These terms set out how you may use the site and what you can hold us to. We've kept the language plain on purpose. If something here is unclear, the Contact page will get you to a real person.

Acceptance of Terms

When you browse this site, read a venue guide, or follow one of our cocktail recommendations, you're agreeing to these terms. That applies to every visitor, whether you arrived from a search engine, a shared link, or a bookmark you saved last summer.

If any part of this agreement doesn't sit right with you, the answer is simple: don't use the site. Continued use is how you tell us you're on board.

Acceptable Use

We run a guide to nightlife, dining, and the small pleasures of South Kensington. We expect you to use it in that spirit.

If you submit anything to us — a correction about a venue, feedback through a form, a question about a listing, make it accurate and honest. Fraudulent submissions waste everyone's time and can mislead other readers who trust what they find here.

Beyond that, a few hard lines:

  • Don't interfere with the site's security, availability, or normal operation.
  • Don't attempt to access areas, accounts, or systems you weren't given access to.
  • Don't use the site for anything unlawful, abusive, or harassing toward others.

Break these and we reserve the right to restrict your access without notice.

Use License

You're welcome to read our guides, save them, and share them with friends planning a night out. That's the whole point. What we grant you is a personal, non-commercial license to enjoy the content on these pages.

What that license doesn't cover is republishing. You can't lift our venue write-ups, photography, or category pages and post them elsewhere as your own — not on a blog, not in a newsletter, not in a competing guide. If you'd like to quote or feature our work, ask first through the Contact page.

The text, images, and layout across the site remain the property of Dolce London or the licensors we work with. Linking to us is encouraged; copying us wholesale is not.

No Warranties

South Kensington moves fast. Bars rebrand, kitchens change hands, opening hours shift with the seasons, and a shisha lounge that was buzzing in November might be closed for refurbishment by spring.

We provide this site and everything on it on an "as available" basis. We work hard to keep listings current, but we can't guarantee that every detail is accurate at the moment you read it. Hours, prices, menus, and entry policies are set by the venues, not by us.

A quick reality check: for anything that really matters — a large booking, a special occasion, accessibility needs, confirm directly with the venue before you go. Treat our guides as a strong starting point, not the final word.

Limitation of Liability

We're a guide, not a guarantor. To the fullest extent the law allows, Dolce London is not liable for losses or damages that arise from your use of this site or your reliance on its content.

That includes indirect, incidental, and consequential losses — a wasted trip across town, a booking that fell through, a venue that wasn't what the listing suggested. We point you in a direction; the decisions and the evening are yours.

Where local law sets limits that can't be excluded, those limits still apply, and nothing here removes rights you're entitled to.

Applicable Law

These terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site operates. Any dispute that can't be settled amicably falls to the competent local courts.

If a court decides one clause here is unenforceable, that clause gets carved out — the rest of the agreement stays fully in force. One weak link doesn't unravel the whole thing.

Modifications to Terms

We update these terms from time to time, whether the law changes or the way we run the site does. When we make a meaningful revision, the date at the top of this page changes with it.

We won't always email you about small edits, so it's worth a glance now and then. If you keep using the site after we've posted an update, that counts as your acceptance of the revised terms.
